Every face 15-year felony embezzlement costs
HURON COUNTY — Krista Maria Cranston and Kayla Marie Orchard, each of Unhealthy Axe, are dealing with embezzlement costs in what was initially reported as a theft of the Superior America Money Advance retailer Oct. 23.
Huron County Prosecutor Tim Rutkowski mentioned every girl is charged with one rely of embezzlement exceeding $50,000, false report of a felony and larceny in a constructing. The embezzlement cost carries a possible penalty of 15 years in jail if convicted.
Police first reported that on the morning of Oct. 23, an individual entered the enterprise claiming to have a weapon and allegedly compelled an worker to open the secure and lock bins. Based on the unique report, after the person left the shop, the worker activated the panic alarm which prompted Unhealthy Axe Police to reply and examine.
Nevertheless, investigators now allege the ladies have been staff of the enterprise.
Every girl turned themselves in after being contacted by the authorities. Nevertheless, Cranston, 37, was arraigned in 73B District Courtroom Nov. 6. and Orchard, 33, was arraigned Nov. 5. Each girls posted bond, which was set at $5,000 or 10%.
Rutkowski mentioned the ladies are due again in courtroom for a pre-trial listening to Nov. 21, adopted by a preliminary listening to Nov. 22.
